Grace (Reinhold) Truebenbach, age 82, went home to be with the Lord on November 22, 2024, in Menasha, Wisconsin. She was born to parents Ruby and Anna (DeKruif) Reinhold, in Gillett, Wisconsin, at her grandparents' house.
Grace's mom, Anna, played the piano with her six children singing hymns to the music, and taught Grace how to play. They even sang at Youth for Christ meetings and on TV once! The love of music is something that has been passed down through generations. Grace taught her daughter, Lisa, how to play piano, and enjoyed listening to her son, Marc, play the drums.
After high school, she graduated from Grand Rapids School of Bible and Music. Playing the piano is something she enjoyed for a lifetime, playing for the choir at Calvary Bible Church in Neenah for well over a decade. She also gave piano lessons to both children and adults, some of which now play for their churches! Worship music was a huge part of her everyday life, and that legacy lives on.
On May 8, 1965, she married Mark P. Truebenbach. Together they raised two children, Lisa and Marc. They enjoyed each other's company so much that they worked together starting a painting and wallpapering company in the 1970's. Their last full-time jobs were working together at Potter's Ranch in Union, KY, a private Christian wilderness retreat center, where they spread the love of the Lord to those with special needs, youth, veterans, and church groups. Through all the joy and hardships, their love stood the test of time, rooted in their devotion to the Lord. They were a witness and example of what living for Christ looks like.
Saved by grace, a child of King Jesus, Grace lived her life for the Lord. More than anything, she'd want you to also know the deep, deep love the Lord has for his children, so you could join her in eternity! Grace enjoyed reading, volunteering at church and hospice, gardening, and spending time with her family. She will be remembered for her faith, her willingness to help others and her giving nature. She also had quite a silly side which you saw if you knew her well! She would pinch your arm and then laugh if it "hurt". She kept gummy bears in her purse to share with children at church, and many long-lasting friendships started by sharing gummy bears. That's just who she was, joyful, giving, a smile on her face, and loving others.
She is survived by her children, Lisa Truebenbach and Marc Truebenbach; sister, Pricilla (Reinhold) Koehn; brothers, Edward (Rhoda) Reinhold and Richard (Louise) Reinhold; sister-in-law, Cindy Reinhold, as well as many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Preceding her were her husband, Mark Truebenbach; mother, Anna DeKruif) Reinhold; father, Ruby Reinhold; sister, Sharon Reinhold; brother, Philip Reinhold; and brother-in-law, Truman Koehn.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 10, 2025, at Appleton Alliance Church, 2693 Grand Chute Blvd., Appleton, Wisconsin, 54913, from 8:30am to 9:30am, with service to immediately follow.
