Harold R. Nigl, age 89 a lifelong resident of Oshkosh, died February 26, 2012 at Evergreen Retirement Community. Harold was self-employed for many years as a well driller.

Harold is survived by his children; Barbara (David) Darnick of Oshkosh, Russell Nigl of Santee, CA. Susan (Leroy Jr.) Schoenauer of Oshkosh, and Douglas (Michelle) Nigl of Oshkosh. Harold is also survived by his sisters and brother; Helen Schuster, Lucille D. (Edward) Binner, and Carolyn Crofoot, and Robert G. (Helen) Nigl. Harold was a proud grandfather to; Kristy Darnick, Matthew Darnick, Joshua Nigl, Jacob Nigl, Kurt Schoenauer, and Jennifer Nigl.

Harold was preceded in death by his wife, Ethel, his parents; John and Caroline, his son Daniel, his sisters: Agnes C. Priebe, Clara M. Stadler, and Margaret E. Luther, his brothers: John, Lawrence, Albert, Leonard, and Clifford.

The family will receive relatives and friends at the funeral home on March 2, 2012 from 10:00 A.M. until the memorial service at 11:00 A.M. with Father William Van De Kreke officiating. Private inurnment will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery.
