Harriet Rose Kabke, age 82, of Menasha, died Friday, January 9, 2015, at Theda Clark Medical Center. She was born in New London on April 10, 1932, the daughter of Harry and Lydia (Schoenheide) Rasmussen. Harriet had worked as a LPN at Sunset Haven Nursing Home in Menasha for a number of years. She married George A. McIlhone and he preceded her in death. Harriet married Robert Kabke in September of 1979. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and was an avid sports fan. Harriet was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post # 2126 in Menasha. Survivors include her husband, Robert; children, Deborah (Charles) Fox of Oshkosh, Laurie (Joseph) Fernandez of Menasha, Lana (John) Knuijt of Appleton, Leonard "Joe" (Julie) McIlhone of Neenah and Lisa (the late Kenneth) Hartung of Everett, PA. She is further survived by nine grandchildren, three great grandchildren, four step children and their families and her beloved dog, Midge. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 13, 2015, at Lake View Memorial Park in Oshkosh from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Karen Jewell officiating. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in her name to help cover her final expenses.
