H. Jay Lett Jr., age 82, passed away on Saturday, January 2, 2021. He was born in Oshkosh on November 22, 1938 the son of the late Harry and Grace (Goerlitz) Lett Sr. He married Barbara Kiefer in 1967 at Zion Lutheran Church in Oshkosh. Jay was a life-long member of Zion Lutheran Church and volunteered for the Town of Oshkosh Fire Department. He worked for 20 years at Rockwell International and retired after 12 years as a supervisor at Leach Company. Jay was an avid hunter and fisherman, even teaching hunter safety. He will be remembered for the love he had for his grandchildren.

Jay is survived by his wife, Barbara; children: Elizabeth (Brian) Gardiner and Jay (Shannon) Lett; grandchildren: Danielle (Chris) Suchezky, Alexandria "Worm" Gardiner, and Evan and Emily Lett; great-granddaughter, Madison Suchezky; brother, Larry (Sandra) Lett; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and son, H. J. Lett III.
