Obituary

Helen E. Rennert, 53 of Oshkosh passed away unexpectedly on May 20, 2004 at Kindred Hospital in Milwaukee. Helen was born to Henry and Angeline Thompson Martin in Oshkosh on September 13, 1950. She graduated from Oshkosh High School. Helen married Bruce Rennert on June 14, 1974 at St. Mary's Church in Oshkosh. Helen's greatest joy in life was taking care of her husband, her children, her animals and any one else in need. In her spare time, she also enjoyed solving crossword puzzles, painting, collecting dolls and mementos. Christmas and gift giving was always a special time for Helen.

Helen is survived and will be missed by her husband and the love of her life, Bruce of Oshkosh; her sons, Timothy and Christopher, both of Oshkosh; her brother, Ralph Martin (Carol) of Oshkosh, her sister Bonnie (Gary) Hopkins of Redgranite; sister in law, Gloria Stach of Green Bay; brothers in law, Roger Rennert of Illinois, Jim (Kate) Rennert of Oshkosh, Russell Rennert of Oshkosh, other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Carl.

Visitation for Helen will be Monday, May 24, 2004 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 442 Monroe St. from 4 to 6:45 p.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 7 p.m. with Rev. Robert Stegmann officiating. Burial will be at Oakhill Cemetery in the Town of Maine. Special thanks to Sister Judy, who has been a source of love and comfort throughout Helen's illness. In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established.
