Obituary
Henry "Hank" George Bargenquast, (85), of Oshkosh, WI passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on November 25, 2023.
Henry, who was fondly known as Boots to his parents, Henry Isador Bargenquast and Melba Pearl Westphal was born on September 7, 1938. He grew up in Oshkosh and graduated from Oshkosh High School.
He worked at Rockwell International as a machinist and was a proud member of the UAW Local 291 Union.
Henry enjoyed collecting die cast cars, attending auto races, and watching football. He was an active member in the Fond du Lac Vintage Auto Club and found many good friends there. He was well known for his 1935 Dodge Truck. He had many hours and bruised knuckles putting it together, making it a showstopper!
Henry was a loving father who did his best to raise his children well. Each of them, giving him credit for their good morals, work ethic, and stubbornness.
Henry is survived by his children, Lorrie, Michael (Jennifer), and David (Lisa). Additionally, his granddaughter, Amy Bargenquast; and great-grandchildren, Robert, Matthew, and James.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra; their daughter, Roxanne; and his parents, Henry and Melba.
Per Henry's request there will be no funeral but there will be a graveside memorial with family and friends at a later date. Memorial donations can be made in his name to the Wisconsin Make a Wish Foundation, at 200 E Washington St Suite 2F, Appleton, WI 54911.
