Hildegard I. Stamurs, age 82 of Oshkosh, passed away Tuesday April 22, 2008 at Northpoint Medical & Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Nuernberg Germany on May 20, 1925 the daughter of the late Otto and Margarete Weiss Berlinger. Hilde married Vilhelms Stamurs in September 1950, and they moved to the United States, settling in Fond du Lac in May 1954. Hildegard worked at St. Agnes Hospital and later at Lutheran Homes in Fond du Lac, moving to Oshkosh in 1982, after the death of her husband. She loved people and everyone that knew her, loved her. Hildegard enjoyed knitting, loved to volunteer, knitting booties for babies and excelled at all sorts of craftwork. She was a loving and caring lady who will be missed.

Survivors include her son-in-law, Michael (Linda) Henningsen, several grandchildren, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, her son Karl-Heinz Paul, daughter Anita Henningsen, one brother and one sister.

Visitation will be held on Monday, April 28, 2008 at Martin Luther Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1526 Algoma Blvd., Oshkosh from 12 Noon until the time of the Memorial Service at 1:00 P.M. with Rev. Jeffrey Berg officiating.
