James A. Harter age 69 of Appleton, Wisconsin passed away peacefully on January 6, 2009 at Theda Clark Medical Center. Jim was born on May 9, 1939 in Ashley, ND the youngest of five children by Mathilda and Jacob Harter. He proudly served in the United States Navy and was an avid golfer. Jim is survived by two sons, Greg (Ripon, WI) and Tim (Chandler, AZ) and two grandchildren Adam and Cora. A Memorial Service was held at the Veterans Home in King, WI on Monday January 12, 2009 at 1:00 pm.
