James H. Lewandowski, age 73, of Oshkosh, died Saturday, May 1, 2010. He was born October 7, 1936 in Neenah, the son of Joseph and Gertrude (Koepsel) Lewandowski. During Jim's working career, he owned and operated Oakwood Construction . Jim had many passions in life. He had an inquisitive mind and was a lifelong learner of history, philosophy and economics. Jim loved nature, the outdoors, and fishing, but above all else, he enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Jim is survived, loved and will be missed by his children, Elizabeth Lewandowski of Wausau, WI, Michael (Connie) Lewandowski of Delafield, WI, and Kathleen Hamdan of Oshkosh; grandchildren, Natalie Lewandowski, Gage Lewandowski and Eyas Hamdan; sisters, Patricia Davel of Menasha, Judy (Cal) Deater of Santa Fe, NM; brother Joseph (Patricia) Lewandowski of North Port, FL; other relatives and friends.
The family will greet relatives and friends on Wednesday, May 5, 2010 at the funeral home from 4:30 P.M. until the time of the service of remembrance at 6:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established.
