James R. Soley, age 71 of Winneconne, passed away Wednesday January 7, 2009 at Aurora Medical Center in Oshkosh, with his family by his side. Jim was born in Milwaukee on November 27, 1937 the son of the late Jim and Sophie Juszczak Soley. The family moved to Winneconne in 1950, and he graduated High School in 1956. In 1961, Jim married Jackie Abell and they owned and operated Jim and Jackie's Bar from 1966 to 1973. Jim also worked construction for many years. Survivors include his wife Jackie, two daughters; Peg (Fred) Gierke, of Winneconne and Pam (Don) Daczyk of Oshkosh, two grandchildren; Jackie (Paul) Schulz of Suamico and Jim (Abby) Daczyk of Oshkosh, three great-grandchildren; Lauren, Brody and Torrie, one uncle; Warren Soley of Milwaukee, one aunt; Alice Kahler of Milwaukee, brother-in-law; Robert Abell of Mt. Morris, several cousins, friends, and his most faithful companion, Buttons. Visitation and Funeral Services for Jim will be held on Saturday January 10, 2009 at 2:00 pm at Lake View Memorial Park Chapel, with visitation starting at 11:00 am until the time of services. In lieu of flowers, a memorial in Jim's name is being established.
