Obituary

Janet E. Clark, age 88, passed away on May 23, 2013, at home surrounded by her family. Janet was born in Sheboygan Falls, WI on April 29, 1925, the daughter of the late Riley and Hazel (Blanchard) Johnson. Janet graduated from Oshkosh High School in 1943, and then attended Oshkosh Business College. Janet met Harold (Bud) Clark at Bell Machine where they worked. Janet and Harold (Bud) Clark were married on September 29, 1945. Bud preceded Janet in death on November 30, 1993.They bought and ran Clark's Clover Farm where she assisted in bookkeeping, as well as working at Mueller Potter Drug Store in the postal and bookkeeping department. Janet also worked seasonally at Miles Kimball. In later life she assisted in the management of Bud's Grocery.
Janet particularly enjoyed bowling, winning the Women's City Bowling Tournament on March 9, 1965. Other interests included cooking, seasonal decorating, playing cards, and crafting. Most of all she enjoyed motherhood, family, and friends. Her happiest moments in life were when her kitchen was filled with those she loved. Janet was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church for over 70 years.
Janet will be sadly missed by her loving children: Stephanie (Barry) Rueckert of Muskego, Jeffrey (Tammy) Clark of Oshkosh, and Jodie (Jerry) Schoonover of Waukau. Janet will be further missed by her grandchildren: Jeffrey Clark Jr., Jamisen (Rueckert) Brazys, Kaelyn (Rueckert) Lopez, Danielle Clark, Rachelle Clark, Kassandra Schoonover, and Kyle Schoonover, four great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many dear friends. Janet's family would like to extend a special thank you to John Zink a kindhearted neighbor and friend who cared for Janet over the years.
Janet was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her sister Betty (Johnson) Schnell.
Visitation will be on May 29, 2013, at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 808 Main St. Oshkosh, WI at11:00 a.m. until the funeral liturgy at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Jennifer Czarnota officiating. Entombment Lake View Memorial Park.
