Janice Scott, age 56, passed away Sunday, May 29, 2011 surrounded by the love of her family. She was born November 13, 1954 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Jesse and Beatrice (Jones) Adams. Janice was a very strong willed woman, independent and hard working; often working multiple jobs at the same time. In addition to being a homemaker, she was a school bus driver in the State of California, a crossing guard, CNA at Bethel Home and Winnebago Mental Health Hospital and worked at Aurora Medical Center in Oshkosh. Her greatest passion in life was her children; stubborn as she was she was the most selfless woman we all knew.

Janice is loved and will be missed by her children, Bernard Anthony Owens, Delton (Tina) Owens, Ivy Jones, Johnny Scott, Jr., Dianna Scott, and Sandra P. Scott. From Heaven, Janice will be a guardian angel for her present grandchildren, Acacia Owens, Kelis Owens, Detriona Owens, Deion Owens, Dashuna Owens, the late Robert Scott King, and future grandchildren. Further survived by her brothers and sisters, Jesse Adams, Otis Adams, Emma Jean Jones, Mary Jones and Mary Walker, and other relatives and friends.

A Celebration of Janice's life will be held at 3:30 P.M. on Saturday, June 4, 2011 (TODAY) at Bethel Worship Center, 903 E. Tennessee Ave. in Oshkosh.
