Jean Eldren Ariss, 84 of Oshkosh WI died peacefully at Bethel Nursing Home, January 22, 2012.
Jean was born in Bethlehem, PA on October 7, 1927. Her family then migrated to Tama, FL. Jean worked as a CNA for many years. She met her husband Bruce M Ariss and married January 3rd, 1958. After a fire destroyed their home, they moved to West Chester, PA. The family moved to Big Rapids, MI in 1971. In 2004, Jean moved to Oshkosh to be near her eldest Daughter.
Jean was preceded in death by her husband Bruce M Ariss in 1977 and her sister Violet Bailer in 2006.
Jean loved to help others and volunteer at many places over the years, including Holland Community Hospital and after moving to Oshkosh, Bethel Home.
Jean is survived by 4 children, Beverly (Matthew) Hoffman of Oshkosh, Phyllis Ariss of New Mexico, Michael (Kelly) Ariss of Michigan and Jack Ariss of Michigan. Jean has 10 grandchildren, Alex Hoffman, Andrew Hoffman, Jacob Hoffman, Jessica Vasquez, Shawn Ariss, Kyle Ariss, Cody Ariss, Colin Ariss, Katie DeJonge, and David Ariss. She also has 5 Great Grandchildren.
The family would like to thank Bethel Home for their wonderful care of Jean in the past several years.
Services will be held Saturday January 28th, 2012 at the Chapel in Bethel Home, 225 N Eagle St, Oshkosh, WI.
Family will greet everyone at 3:30 p.m. A Memorial Service will start at 4:00 p.m.
