Jean Winchester-Fischer passed away on August 21 in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Jean was born on January 11, 1933, to the parents of George and Florence (Allgeyer) Jurgens in Wallace, Michigan.
Jean graduated from the Menominee School District (Michigan) in 1951. She married Ray Winchester in 1953. They spent forty-three years together until Ray's passing in 1996. Jean married Gerald Fischer in 2004. They spent twenty-one years together.
Jean enjoyed boating, skiing, traveling, reading, gardening, hunting, and knitting. She valued walking in the woods and picking wildflowers at a cabin in northern Wisconsin. Most of all, Jean loved her family and her friends.
Jean is survived by her sister Ruth (Jurgens) Widder; spouse Gerald Fischer; children, Garry Winchester and Bruce Winchester; grandchildren, Wendy (Winchester) Okon, Timothy Winchester, William Winchester, Sarah (Winchester) Ward, and Emily (Winchester) Metropulos; great-grandchildren, Rayleigh Okon, Noah Winchester, Allie Winchester, Macy Winchester, Tess Winchester, George Metropulos V, Cecily Metropulos, and Ellery Ward, Gerald Fischer's son Steve, daughter-in-law Tammy, and grandson Jerrett.
Gabriel's Villa provided impeccable care of Jean. The staff is exceptional. The family holds Gabriel's Villa in highest regards.
