Jerel G. McLeod, age 67, of Oshkosh, died July 9, 2017 at Aurora Medical Center in Oshkosh. Jerel was born June 8, 1950, in Shawano, WI, the son of Wilfred and Lucille (Morrison) McCleod. He attended Central High School in Rapid City, S.D. and later attended U.W. Oshkosh and School of Business in Rapid City, S.D. for a degree in accounting. Jerel married Ramona Johannson September 14, 1991 in Spearfish, S.D. Jerel enjoyed bicycling, reading and writing. If you wanted the perfect mold for a father, Jerel was just that. He was a great provider for his family always working hard to see they were taken care of. Jerel took time daily to help his children with their homework, especially history. He had attended all his children's school activities and coached his daughters T-Ball team. Jerel will also be remembered by his family for his sense of humor and his love of joking around with them. His family, children and grandchildren held a special place in his heart and it showed in all he did for them. Jerel had worked for 17 years at Plexis in Neenah and also was a long-time employee of Lang Oil Company.Jerel is loved and will be missed by his wife, Ramona Johannson McLeod of Oshkosh; daughters, Breanne (Jeff) Beyer of Kaukauna, Raenelle Smith of Winneconne, Elizabeth (finance Christopher Niebauer) of Oshkosh; grandchildren, Bailey, Ethan, Abigail & Liam; sister, Lorna Smith of OK; and mother-in-law, Colleen Johannson of Kaukauna. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilfred and Lucille (Morrison) McLeod and sister, Donna McLeod.The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, July 13, 2017 at Fox Cities Funeral Home, 3026 Jackson St., Oshkosh from 11:30 A.M. until the time of the memorial service at the funeral at 1:00 p.m. Jerel will be laid to rest at Riverside Cemetery.
