Jerome A. Kerwin, age 74 of Oshkosh, passed away at his home with his family by his side on Thursday morning March 4, 2010, after a courageous battle with cancer. Jerry was born in Oshkosh on April 4, 1935 the son of Harold and Mildred (Ahrens) Kerwin. He worked for the Leach Company for 37 years, and was a member of the local U.A.W. Union #1108. Jerry liked traveling, bingo and playing on the slot machines. He is survived by his wife of 57 years Betty Kerwin, four daughters; Corrine Gerster, Cindy Braun, Ann(Jerry) Frey and Tina Kerwin, all of Oshkosh, one son; Will Kerwin of North Fond du Lac, grandchildren; Mike Jungck, Stacy Kerwin, Tyler Zick, Kaela Duclon, Kylie Wenhardt, Paul Schavione, Abbie Braun, Michelle Hood, Charity Skortz, Jessica Kerwin and John Kerwin Jr., great-grandchildren; Garvin, Shelby, Broady, Kenton, Paige, Braeden and Ariel, other relatives and friends. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, one son, John Kerwin, one brother, Roger Kerwin and three grandchildren, Felicia, Cory and Kyle. A Memorial Gathering for Jerry will be held on Wednesday March 10, 2010 at 3:00 pm at Lake View Memorial Park Chapel. Family and friends may gather at the chapel on Wednesday from 1:00 pm until time of services. The family would like to thank Affinity's Cancer Center, Dr. Karen Gremminger and her staff and to Billy Jo and Stacy for helping the family during his illness.
