Jerrie Gertrude Parkin, 84, went to be with her loving husband Wallace on August 6, 2023, in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. She was born on October 21, 1938, to parents, Edgar and Gertrude (Hazlewood) Fosnock in Illinois. She grew up in Missouri with her younger brother, Perry Fosnock, with whom she was extremely close.

She met her husband in California and was married 51 years. They had three sons, Perry, Paul, and Bill. They were spontaneous and adventurous, having lived in Illinois, Missouri, California, Washington State, Kentucky, Alaska, and Wisconsin. She was a respected accountant and office manager for many years.

Jerrie was an excellent quilter and seamstress, making many lovely outfits for herself, her children, and grandchildren. She also enjoyed playing cards and cooking. She loved animals, especially cats, and was a founding member of the humane society in Murry, Kentucky. She was also a very generous gift giver; putting a lot of love and thought into everything she chose.

Jerrie is survived by her children, Perry Parkin, Bill (Juliann) Parkin; her late brother's wife and dear "sister," Dora Fosnock; nephew, Chuck Fosnock; and her six grandchildren, Aaron, Mariah, Alexander, Nicholas, Michaela and Ellianna Parkin.
Preceded in death are her parents; her husband, Wallace Parkin; son, Paul Parkin; and brother, Perry Fosnock.
Jerrie will be remembered as being a loving Mom, Gramma, and helper of others in her community.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 19, 2023, at St. Vincent's (part of St. Jude Parish), 1225 Oregon St., Oshkosh Wisconsin from 10:00am to 11:00am, followed by mass at 11:00am.
