Joel P. Nicolaison, age 64, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, July 21, 2022. Joel was born on December 31, 1957, the son of the late Robert and Donna (Sweetalla) Nicolaison. Joel could be heard playing his guitar, and enjoyed hunting, and especially fishing.

Joel is survived by his son, Robert (Amanda) Frank; two granddaughters: Makenze and Paisley; three grandsons: Robert, Caleb and Kadin, all of Berlin; siblings: Linda Bosin, Bill (Sue) Nicolaison and Jeff Nicolaison; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins; and good friends, Danny (Debbie) Koechell, Bruce Folske, and Robert's mother, Tammie Frank. He was also godfather to Alissa (James) Burrows. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother-in-law, Gene Bosin; sister-in-law, Kelly Derr; and grandparents: H. Peter and Mary Nicolaison and Edward and Eva Sweetalla.

Per Joel's wishes, there will not be a funeral. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
