Obituary
Johann Kopeinig, age 82, passed away with family by his side on June 16, 2024, in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. He was born to parents Johann and Johanna (Gabriel) Kopeinig, in Oberferlach, Austria.
After high school, he was able to learn many skills, the one that most interested him was the trade of auto mechanics. He ultimately owned his own business in the states. Johann also met the love of his life, Maria Podzorska and the two were inseparable until her passing.
Traveling and gardening flowers and vegetables were some of his favorite things to do. He also volunteered as a crossing guard for the local schools.
Johann is survived by his stepdaughters, Agnes Drozdzynski and Ewa Picheta; grandchildren, Kevin, Mariusz, Patrycja, Oliwer ; great-grandchild, Lori; two sisters; a brother; and many kind neighbors and friends.
Preceding him in death was his significant other, Maria Podzorski; parents, Johann and Johanna (Gabriel) Kopeinig and several other relatives.
Mass will be held at St. Raphael the Archangel Catholic Church, 830 S Westhaven Dr, Oshkosh, WI 54904 on Wednesday, July 3, 2024 at 11:00am.
Per his wishes, he will return to Poland for inurnment of final resting place.
