Obituary
John H. Dale, age 72, went to join his loved ones and the Lord on May 17, 2025, in Oshkosh, WI. He was born on August 23, 1952, to parents, James Russell Dale I and Jean Yvonne (Francisco) Dale, in Michigan.
He graduated from Cheboygan Public High School, Michigan in 1970. In 1971, he enlisted in the United States Army, serving during the Vietnam Era. When he returned, he married the love of his life, Vicci. Together, they spent 35 years together and raised three children.
John was a man of all trades and enjoyed working with his hands. He would do roofing, repairs and even was able to build his own home. He worked in the construction trade for most of his career. He most recently worked at the Re-Store and Mercury Marine.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing on-line poker, cribbage, working on and collecting classic cars. He loved cooking and finding new recipes to make. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family and friends. He will be remembered for being dependable, humorous, being a dreamer, being kindhearted and a good Dad, Grandpa, Brother, uncle and friend.
He is survived by his children, Mindy (Seth) Nasi and Jake (Alli B.) Dale; grandchildren, Mason, Xavier, Leanna, Alexa and Raul; sister, Janus (Al) Galante; brother, Jack Dale; nieces, Adelaid (Matt) Davis and Jessica (Aaron T.) Tienharra; nephew, Jim Dale III; and mother of his children, Vicci Dale.
Preceding him in death was his daughter, Kelsey Dale; parents, James Russell Dale I and Jean Yvonne (Francisco) Dale; and brothers, Jay Dale, James "Jim" Dale II.
Per his wishes, no formal services will be held.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established in his honor.
The family would like to thank all those who knew and loved John- especially, Kathy Ertmer, Roy Magnuson and Carlos Alvarenga.
