Obituary
John Gonsalves of Neshkoro died April 28, 2025 after a lengthy illness.
John, also known as "Gunner" was raised in Winneconne by his amazing foster family, Bea and Al Lippert. John remained close to Bea and Al well into his adult life.
John was employed by Square D company of Oshkosh as a machine set up operator for over 20 years. John was actively involved in the union while at Square D and acted as a chairman of the Executive board.
John loved to fish and hunt as well. He particularly enjoyed a week away each year with his hunting buddies. He was an avid Green Bay Packer fan and enjoyed watching the games on Sunday night. He enjoyed watching deer, turkey and an array of wildlife from his deck.
He also enjoyed spending time just hanging out with his English Mastiffs Aubrey and Vivi (and Phil).
John leaves behind Carole, his wife of 45 years and eight amazing children, Ben (Sarah Lane) Gonsalves of South Carolina, Jessie (Beau) Schrage of Oshkosh, Michael Gonsalves of Oshkosh, Christina Gonsalves of Neshkoro, Greg Gonsalves of Florida, Hanna Gonsalves of Neshkoro, Jacob Gonsalves of Berlin, Marcus (Erin) Gonsalves of North Freedom; seven incredible grandchildren, Landon, Kensie, Aiden, Caleb, Riley, Savannah and Bella, as well as one to come. He is further survived by sisters, Pam Klug and Debbie Oaks.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
