Obituary
John Steven Long, age 62, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, October 8, 2023, surrounded by family and friends.
Born in Menasha, WI, to Luella and Bruce Long. John graduated from Menasha High School and obtained an associate degree from Fox Valley Technical College. Although John worked at many automotive jobs, his greatest accomplishment was owning and operating his own business, John's Towing. John was known throughout Fox Valley for his generosity, friendliness, and willingness to go the extra mile. Among his many hobbies, John enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding his Harley and getting away to his "Happy Place," his cabin up north.
John was preceded in death by his parents, and son, Jeremy Long. He is survived by his son, Joshua (girlfriend Dana and her son Jacob); brothers and sisters, James, Robert, Marianne, Linda, Sandra, Larry, Constance; and many other in-laws; nephews; nieces; cousins and friends.
A special thanks to his girlfriend Jo, who so lovingly cared for him throughout his battle with cancer.
At John's request, he will be cremated. There will be no service. A celebration of life will be held at a future date in Spring/ Summer 2024.
