Obituary

John A. Miller of Grand Chute, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 20, 2024. He was born on February 14, 1957, in Neenah, son of Merrill "Buster" and Mary (Shukoski) Miller.

John loved the outdoors. He put endless miles riding his bike every day he could. He was quick to share a laugh or cause laughter with his witty way of poking fun or joking around. He loved to fish and hunt and considered anywhere outdoors his "home". He knew real struggle but always kept a calm and carefree manner about him. John was very proud of his Native American heritage; he was a member of the Stockbridge-Munsee Band of Mohican Tribe. He set up "camp" on the reservation on and off over his lifetime. He had endless good times with friends and family. He was always ready to share a story from his many "adventures".

John was kind, thoughtful, a great listener and would help anyone. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

John is survived by his sister, Joni (Mike) Heinz; niece, Bethany; nephew, Wil; as well as other relatives and friends. John was preceded in death by his mother, father and brother.

John's remains will be scattered along his favorite trails and cherished places privately.

A special thank you to the staff at Silverstone Memory Care who took such considerate and loving care of John.
