Obituary
John F. Piller III, age 72, passed away on June 19, 2025, at Aurora Medical Center in Oshkosh, WI. He was born on March 18, 1953, to parents, John Frank Piller Jr. and Janet Ruth (Gohlke) Piller, in Oshkosh, WI.
On September 29, 1979, he married the love of his life, Kathy Rymer, at Grace Lutheran Church in Oshkosh. Together, they raised their 2 children, Melissa and Timothy.
John worked at Pluswood Industries for 35 years until his retirement.
In his younger years, he enjoyed fishing, hunting and the great outdoors. He shared his knowledge with his son and taught him how to hunt and fish as well. His most favorite thing to do was to spend time with his family and being the best Papa to his grandkids Chloe and Oliver.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy; daughter, Missy (Doug) Stadtmueller of Oshkosh; son, Tim (Tara) Piller of Winneconne; and grandkids, Chloe Lynn and Oliver Frank Stadtmueller. Further survived by his brother, Mike (Connie) Piller; sister, Lynn (Keith) Kinderman; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents, John Frank Piller Jr. and Janet Ruth (Gohlke) Piller; In-laws, Melvin and Violet Rymer, all of Oshkosh.
Per his wishes, no funeral services will be held. However, a celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 12, 2025, in the pub at Bella Vista, 631 Hazel St., Oshkosh, WI, from 1:00pm to 5:00pm. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established in his honor.
The family wishes to thank the nurses and staff at Aurora Medical Center- Oshkosh, as well as Aurora Hospice for their continued support during this difficult time.
