Obituary
John Alan Wright, age 72, passed away on December 13, 2024, in Oshkosh, WI. He was born in Grand Rapids Michigan on August 17, 1952, to parents, Lawrence A. and Joan M. (Rice) Wright.
He attended college in San Diego California and obtained a degree in Theology. John preached in California until his family grew and he was blessed with being able to raise his children. After moving to Wisconsin, he dedicated his time to further teaching his children how to play baseball and working at St. Vincent de Paul. He moved up and ran the Oshkosh Food Pantry Volunteer Section for several years. In his last years, he was a dedicated employee of Muza Metal Products until his passing.
John was an avid San Diego Padres fan, loved to draw murals on walls and vehicles. He played the drums and was a "Roadie" for the band ZZ Top and played with several local bands at the Memorial Park Pavillion. John also enjoyed preaching to anyone he could. He will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his children, John Wright Jr., Jason Wright, Paul Larrebee, Lisa (Tom) Johnson, Christian (Erica) Wright, Billy Wright and Judithan (Patrick R.) Wright; sisters, Marilyn Binder, Laurette Wright and Nicole Wright; and brother, Charles (Denise) Wright.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Lawrence A. and Joan M. (Rice) Wright; and son, Matthew Wright, brother-in-law, Dave Binder.
Per his wishes, no services will be held. His final resting place will be at Riverside Cemetery, Oshkosh.

The family would like to thank the nurses at Mercy Medical Center, Doctor Heraly at the Cancer Center and Compassus Hospice for their care and compassion towards John and his family.
