Joseph Yurek, 82, of Oshkosh, WI, passed away Friday May 8, 2026. Joseph was born in Green Bay, to Joseph and Mary Yurek. He was employed by Neenah Foundry for 33 years. Joe was an avid golfer, upon retirement you could find him on the golf course 5 days a week or may have just caught a glimpse of him at the casino. There was not a Green Bay Packer, Wisconsin Badger or Milwaukee Brewer game he missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Mary Yurek and his son Joel Lee Yurek; sister, Carol Pierret; brothers, Jerome Yurek and Lawrence Yurek; brothers-in-law, Jack Nagel and Brian Pierret; nephews, Daniel E. Veraghen and Daniel Yurek Jr.; niece, Amber Veraghen; and great-nephew, Damien Veraghen.
Joe is survived by his wife, Stephanie Yurek; stepson, Joshua; siblings, Daniel (Darlene) Yurek, Rosemary (Roland) Pirlott, Jean (Dan) Veraghen, Robert (Debbie) Yurek, Kenneth (Celeste) Yurek, James Yurek and his partner, ManLinn, Tina Yurek and Lori Yurek (Scott VanderSande); and sisters-in-law, Sue Pierret and Mary Jo Yurek, Kathy LaFontaine. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and his fur baby, Niko.
Per his wishes, no formal services will be held.
