Obituary

Joyce Siewert passed away peacefully in her home in Omro during the early hours of June 16th. She was born in Oshkosh, Wisconsin to Lucille and Richard Rennert Sr.
Joyce was the kind of friend everyone hopes to have - kind, funny, and fiercely loyal. Her laughter could brighten even the darkest days, and she had a gift for making those around her feel loved and valued. She was someone you could always count on, whether you needed a listening ear, a helping hand, or simply a reason to smile. Her friendship was a precious gift and the love, laughter and memories she shared will remain in the hearts of all who knew her.
Joyce found joy in golfing and spending time with friends. She thoroughly enjoyed her yearly casino trips with her best friend Ellen. She liked to travel not only to tropical places but also to other parts of the world. Her last big trip was to Egypt with her sister in law Kathy.
Joyce loved animals - her last rescue was an English Cream Golden Retriever named Apollo. He was a very important companion to her after the passing of her husband Drake as well as through her illness this past year. Joyce had a big heart and pre-arranged his care to be transferred to her good friends Lisa and Mike Richardson who love him and are giving him the best life a dog could have.
Joyce worked for many years at various health care systems, but in her later years she drove for Lamers driving children with disabilities to school. She greatly missed the children once she could no longer drive due to her health, most notably Noah.
Joyce is survived by her sons, Scott (Christa) Abraham and Todd (Becca) Abraham; her step-daughter, Jessica (Ben) Akers; as well as four grandchildren, Christian, Creedon, Ashton and Noah.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Richard Jr.; and her husbands, Ron Flack and Drake Siewert.
Her family would like to thank Unity Palliative Care and Unity Hospice for the care and compassion in allowing her to remain comfortable and at home. A celebration of life will be held on September 12th from 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm at Wedgewood in Omro.
