Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Julie Keller, a cherished and unforgettable member of the Oshkosh, Wisconsin community. Julie passed away at her home on June 28th, just one day after her 62nd birthday, leaving behind a legacy of laughter, love, and fierce devotion.
Born on June 27, 1964, Julie spent her life enriching the world around her. She was a beloved wife, mother, sister, a fun-loving aunt, and a fiercely loyal friend. Julie was preceded in death by her parents.
A Rare, Fierce, and Kind Spirit
Julie attended North High School, where she cultivated lifelong friendships. Her professional life was marked by diverse experiences, notably her time as a group home manager, where her natural leadership and protective instincts shone brightest.
Outside of work, Julie was actively involved in volunteer organizations. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life: gardening, antiquing, exploring the outdoors, and spending quality time with the people she cherished. Julie’s vibrant enthusiasm for life and her generous heart touched everyone she met.
Julie was a truly rare human being; the “world’s nicest badass,” as her daughter would say. She was incredibly tough, unapologetically herself, and would fight tooth and nail for her family. Beneath that fierce, protective exterior was a deeply kind, compassionate soul. She loved without limits.
She is survived by her husband, Frank Keller; her two children, Lee Hopfensperger and Tosha Tessen Hickey (Shaun Tessen Hickey); her siblings, Kay Hentz (Bill Hentz), Jodie Jones, Renee Bates and Misty Hawley (Craig Hawley); many adored nieces and nephews; her two amazing grandchildren, Annabelle and Aubree; and a wide circle of extended family and friends who loved her deeply.
