Keith F Schmirler

Keith F. Schmirler, age 74, passed away after a long battle with Dementia and Alzheimer’s, on July 29, 2026, in Oshkosh, WI.

He was born on December 14, 1951, to parents, Francis and Faye Estella (Riechel) Schmirler, in Oshkosh, WI.

After attending Oshkosh High School, he went on to work as a machinist at Hudson Manufacturing, Square- D in Oshkosh and retired at Hoffmaster in 2014.

On May 20, 1995, he married the love of his life, Victoria “Vicki” Grable, at the Elks Club in Oshkosh, WI.

In his free time, Keith loved to spend time on the water in the boat. Watching and playing all types of sports and spending time with family and friends. He will be remembered for being kind and giving.

He is survived by his loving wife, Vicki Schmirler; sons, Brian (Brandy) Frank and Robbie (Jody) Frank; grandchildren, Axel, Casten, Hunter and Katie Kat; sister, Karen (Roger) Reinke; sisters-in-law, Joby (Patrick) Gray and Janet Grable; brothers-in-law, Tim (Laurie) Grable and Dave (Robin) Grable; several cousins, nieces, nephews, grand-nephews, extended family, neighbors and friends.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Francis and Faye Schmirler; parents-in-law, Ray and Jeane Grable; sister-in-law, Jeannie Grable; and brother-in-law, Tony Grable.

Per his wishes, no formal services will be held. In lieu of flowers, please feel free to donate to St. Judes, Schriners Children and the Neenah Animal Shelter in his honor.

The family would like to thank the staff at both Ascension Mercy Medical Hospital- PCU-2 unit and Park View Health Center- Lakeside Unit for all of their care.
