Kenneth B. Huebbe, age 82 of Fond du Lac, died January 14, 2008. He was born in Milwaukee, WI on September 30, 1925 the son of the late Alfred and Isabelle (nee Kakatsch) Huebbe. Kenneth went to Washington High School in Milwaukee, and earned Bachelor of Science Degrees in Mechanical Engineering(University of Wisconsin-Madison) and Secondary Education(Ohio State University), and later a Masters Degree in Guidance and Counseling from the University of Michigan. He was a lifetime educator in the public school system, serving as a math teacher and guidance counselor. During World War II, he was a Hospital Corpsman in the United States Navy, assigned to the Marine Corps serving in the Pacific Theater, and later served in the Korean Conflict as a Pharmicist Mate. Kenneth was very active in the First Presbyterian Church in Fond du Lac. Devoted and caring husband for over 57 years of Carol (nee Gerstenberger). Loving father of Steven (Margaret) Huebbe and Theodore (Lynn) Huebbe. Brother of the late Violet (nee Huebbe) Piel. Grandfather of Margaret "Greta" Huebbe (fiancé Kurt Rausch), Nicholas (Taunika) Huebbe, and Gregory Huebbe. Step-grandfather of Adam (Kristina) Frank, Joshua (Kelly) Frank, Ian Culver (fiancée Crystal McCredie), and the late Emily Culver. Great-Grandfather of Lauryn Frank, Ariel Huebbe, Isaiah Huebbe, Mason Frank, Emma Culver, and Alexander Frank. A Memorial Service will be celebrated Saturday, January 19, 2008, 2:00 p.m., at the First Presbyterian Church (Fond du Lac). The family will be pleased to informally visit with friends and relatives before and after the service.
