Obituary

Kenneth Schneider passed away on Sunday, December 13, 2015, after a short but hard fought battle with cancer. Kenneth, or Ken, as most would know him, was born on July 28, 1952, in the midst of the baby boom in Fond Du Lac, Wisconsin. There he would become the man that his family came to know and love. At the age of 18 he enlisted in the Air Force, where he served his country honorably as a Military Policeman, with patrol dog certification. This would foster a great love of animals that would follow him throughout life. Many years would pass after he was honorably discharged from military service where he touched the lives of many with his robust and outgoing personality. Soon he came to gain an appreciation for repairing and maintaining, truly a man who could fix anything. This passion fueled and supported him throughout his time at Lutheran Homes of Oshkosh Bethel Home, where he worked for 18 years, and later into his time serving his community at Goodwill Industries of Wisconsin. All of these things and more drew him closest to his family, whom he supported and loved dearly, both his wife Deborah Schneider, and his son Jeremy Schneider, who he is survived by, along with his sister-in-law, Betty Gustavus. His support for his family was unparalleled, watching over his wife, whom had suffered greatly with medical issues, and raising his son to be a man in his image, a fact not forgotten by those left behind. In summary, he was a man that will be greatly missed by both his family and those who he touched and inspired in life.
