IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Korlyn D
Kelly
October 19, 1950 – February 8, 2026
Korlyn Desra Kelly, age 75, passed away on February 8, 2026, in Fond du Lac, Wl. She was born to parents, Alonzo and Catherine Kelly, on October 19, 1950, in Chicago, IL.
She graduated high school in Michigan and later furthered her education in healthcare. She was a Certified Nursing Assistant for many years in both public and private healthcare services until her retirement. She had a strong passion to care for others, which led to leaving a memorable mark that everyone will cherish.
Cocoa shared a lifelong commitment to Frank Danino Mitchell until his passing in January 2000. Together, they raised one child.
In her free time, she enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She cherished the little things like warm fuzzy socks, the comfort of her pajamas and taking long drives. She loved a good barbecue and homemade macaroni and cheese. She was also an avid reader, loved listening to smooth jazz, playing board and card games, doing adult coloring books, watching drama and psych movies and black and white shows- especially, The Andy Griffith Show and Gunsmoke.
Korlyn is survived by her daughter, Michelle A. Kelly; son, Alonzo M. Kelly; four grandchildren, Amaryles, Trinity, Mondes and Jarel; nieces and nephews, Leon, Kadihjia, Laura and Kenneth; great-nieces, Destiny and Julianna; several cousins, friends and great-woofs, Luca and Nelinha.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Alonzo and Catherine, sister Tohnus Kelly, as well as, fiance Frank Danino Mitchell.
Korlyn will be remembered for being loving, caring, non-judgmental, funny with a little sass and very smart and knowledgeable. She has taught those she loves strength, not by force, but by example-through quiet determination, unwavering support, and her fragile hand. Even in silence, she spoke volumes. She was the strength to our weakness, our calm in the storm.
She will always be remembered and close to our hearts.
Poem 27:
“When I am gone, release me, let me go.
I have so many things to see and do.
You mustn't tie yourself to me with tears, Be Happy that we had so many years.
I gave you my love.
You can only guess how much you gave to me in happiness.
I thank you for the love each of you have shown,
But now it's time/ traveled alone.
So grieve awhile for me if you must.
Then let your grief be comforted by trust.
It's only for a while that we must part, so bless the memories within your heart.
I won't be far away for life goes on;
So if you need me, call and / will come,
Though you can't see or touch me, I'll be near
And if you listen with your heart you'll hear,
All of my love around you soft and clear.
And then, when you must come this way alone,
I'll greet you with a smile and say:
"Welcome Home!"
