Obituary

Lawson Chandler Blake Jr. (Chad), 67, of Omro, passed away on Saturday September 22, 2012, at Mercy Medical Center after a short battle with cancer. Lawson was born in Haverhill, MA on March 13, 1945, the son of Lawson and Stella (Haynes) Blake. Lawson was married to the love of his life Connie on May 22, 1964; they were married for 48 years.
Lawson worked as an interior finisher for Spies in Fond du Lac for many years until his retirement in 2005. Lawson enjoyed spending time with his family. In his spare time he made model planes and cars. Those who knew Lawson always knew that you could give him a piece of wood and at the end you would have a masterpiece.
Lawson is survived by his wife Connie Blake, children John Blake, Donna Fralish, Lisa (Keith) Knight, James (Tracy) Blake, Rebecca (David) Fischer, grandchildren – Shane, Alisha, Zackary, Krystal, Johnathon, Brandon, Vanessa, Chandler, Christopher, Cody, Alec, David Jr., Blake II and Great granddaughter Breezzy. Lawson is further survived by his brother Steve (Dolly) Blake and other family and friends.
Lawson was preceded in death by his parents, and his sister Sheila Pope.
A memorial service to celebrate Lawson's life is planned for November 11th. Further details will be run in the Sunday obituaries of the Northwestern the week before the memorial service. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to a charity of your choice in honor of Lawson's life.
The family of Lawson wishes to thank the staff at Mercy Medical Center and Hospice. A special thank you to Dr. McDonald for your support during this trying time for our family, your dad would be very proud of you.
