Lawyer Cole, age 70, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, April 28, 2022. He was born in Batesville, MS on March 13, 1952 the son of the late George and Ella (McKeever) Cole Sr. At an early age, Lawyer was baptized at Saint Benedict Catholic Church in Milwaukee. Lawyer was a chef at a bakery for many years with his brothers in Milwaukee. He could often be found fishing and shooting pool. Lawyer will be remembered for his sense of humor and his delicious cooking.

Lawyer is survived by his children: Jesse Rush and Ebony Lacy; grandchildren: Davion Rush, Angelia Rush and Julian More Rush; brothers and sisters: Juanita Epps, Margaret Medley, Virginia Cole, William Clyde (Denise) Cole, Luvenia (Willie) Mitchell, Diane (Rayburn) Gray, Annette Cole and Rodney Cole; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; and step-brothers and sisters: Rev. Larry (Carolyn) Davis, Debbie (Rev. Michael) Lee, Linda Davis, Marilyn (Michael) Scarborough, and Tony Davis. He was preceded in death by a daughter and his parents; and brothers: George Cole Sr., Michael Cole and Stevie Cole.

It was Lawyer's wish to be cremated with no services.
