Lee E. Dahlen, age 75, formerly of West Bend and Milwaukee, passed away on Sunday, March 22, 2015. He was born in Milwaukee on December, 24, 1939 the son of the late Olfer and Doris (Jeske) Dahlen. On October 16, 1965 he married Barbara Kiefer. Lee was proud to serve in the United States Army, Air Force and Navy Reserve. He was a senior manufacturing engineer and certified weld inspector. Lee was proud to be a Captain and Observer in the Civil Air Patrol. He will be remembered for his love of family and country. Lee is survived by his children: Leann (James) Ziehr, Lynda Dahlen and Lee (Carolyn) Dahlen; grandchildren: Tony (Alyssa) Dahlen, Valerie Ziehr, Gabriel Dahlen, Hailee Ziehr, Erik Ziehr, Caitlynn Dahlen and Jessy Ziehr; sisters-in-law: Wendy Dahlen and Janet Feggestad; and his dog Sam. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barb, in 2011; and brothers: Phillip and Thomas Dahlen.The memorial service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 28, 2015 at Fox Cities Funeral and Cremation Service, followed by Military Honors. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service. The family extends a special thank you to the nurses and doctors at Aurora Medical Center who treated Lee with kindness and dignity. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund in Lee's name is being established.
