Obituary
Leon M. Schumacher, age 71, of Oshkosh, died Friday, July 11, 2014, at Mercy Medical Center with family by his side. He was born June 4, 1943, the son of Gerhard and Edna (Bearwald) Schumacher. Leon was a graduate of Rosendale High School and had worked at Paine Lumber
Co. and Muza Metals. He enjoyed playing Sheapshead with his buddies and going to casinos.
Leon is survived by Shirley Swinton, his significant other; two sisters, Arlene Zarling and Carol Miller of Oshkosh; many nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Hilbert and his wife, Myrtle; two brothers-in-law, Lawrence Zarling and Gerald Miller and two nephews, Mark and Paul Miller.
Visitation will be Friday, July 18, 2014, at St. John's Lutheran Church of Nekimi, 491 Old Oregon Rd. from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the Memorial Service at 2:00 p.m.
