LeRoy L. Carlson, age 80, of Oshkosh, died peacefully at home surrounded by the love of his family on Wednesday, June 29, 2011. LeRoy was born August 24, 1930 in Mattoon, WI the son of Arnold and Eleanor (Slater) Carlson. LeRoy was a U.S. Navy Veteran serving between 1947-1951. He married Patricia Kaufman on January 6, 1953 in Birnamwood, WI. Throughout his life, he had worked at various jobs and then retiring early from the Square D Corporation. He enjoyed hunting, his gun collection, his Harley Davidson and fixing and working on his cars.

LeRoy is survived by his children, Cheri Carlson Gutjahr, Keith (Debbie) Carlson, Lori Carlson Stang, Terry (Stacey) Carlson; grandchildren, Robert (Sarah) Gutjahr, Shelby (Paul) Royal, Ryan (Justine) Carlson, Nicole Carlson, Travis Gutjahr, Riley Carlson, Brady Carlson, Cooper Carlson, Logan Carlson; eleven great grandchildren. Brother, Glen (Jeanette) Carlson, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Patricia; sons, Scott Carlson, David Carlson; grandchildren, Scott Gutjahr, Misty Gutjahr, Richie Gutjahr; brothers, Arnold, Dale, Gary; and sister, Deloris McCllenan.

Following cremation according to LeRoy's wishes a private family gathering will be held at Lakeview memorial park.
