Obituary
Lisa Marie Darling, age 62, passed away peacefully on September 5, 2025, in Fond du Lac, WI. She was born on November 29, 1962, to parents, Franklin and Rose Marie Sierra (Whinrick) Beard Jr., in Pennsylvania.
She graduated from San Gabriel High School in California. Her passion was taking care of others as a caregiver. She had two children, Tasia and Shania.
Lisa also had a love for animals, especially cats, dogs and sugar gliders. She was able to care for many of them including paired couples and rare exotic types. In her free time, she liked gardening, cooking, crocheting Afghans, making clothes and pouches for her sugar gliders, going to rummage sales and being around the bonfire.
She is survived by her children, Tasia Suttin and Shania Hewitt; sister, Holly Montenegro; brothers, Stuart "Butch" Beard and Frank Beard; special friend and caretaker, James "Jimmy" Sabel; several cousins, nieces, nephews and close friends. She will be remembered for her strength, being tenacious and her easy-going demeanor around others.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Franklin and Rose Marie Sierra (Whinrick) Beard Jr.
Per her wishes, no formal services will be held. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established in her honor. Please feel free to send cards in c/o Fox Cities Funeral and Cremation, 3026 Jackson St., Oshkosh, WI, 54901 and reference Lisa Darling.
The family would like to thank the staff at Home of Hope and SSM Hospice for all of their care of Lisa during her final journey.
