Lois M. Winkler, age 74, of Oshkosh, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, December 10, 2015. She was born on March 12, 1941, the daughter of Wesley and Verna Golliher. She married Robert L. Winkler on August 4, 1956.Lois worked in her earlier years at the UWO Bakery, and then worked at Fisher's Westward Ho for more than 15 years.She loved spending her vacations traveling to all corners of the country with her husband. She enjoyed family gatherings, bowling, watching racing and the Packers. She was "Mom" to all who knew her.She is survived by her husband, Robert; four sons, Jeffrey Winkler (Bonnie Gara), Richard (Debra) Winkler, Jerry (Colleen) Winkler, Rip Winkler; four daughters, Sandra (Dan) Gruel, Joan (Chuck) Keller, Patty Winkler (Ray Peterson), and Becky Nichols (Tom Murphy); grandchildren, Kimberly Winkler, Cameron (Ashley) Winkler, Jason Hurst, Jeremy Hurst (Carrie Weich), Kyle Gruel, Jamie Gruel, Zeke Straveler, Megan Straveler, Richelle Winkler, Chris Winkler, Eric Aeby; and eleven great-grandchildren. She is further survived by a sister-in-law, Judy Murphy; three brothers, and two sisters. She was preceded in death by her parents.A Celebration of Life will be held at Fisher's Westward Ho on Tuesday, December 15, 2015, from 4:00-8:00 p.m.Those we love don't go away, they walk beside us every day, unseen, unheard, but always near, still loved, still missed and very dear.
