Obituary

Lori (Schroeder) Holzhausen, age 61, of Oshkosh, Wisconsin, passed away surrounded by the love of her family on September 12, 2026. She was born on December 26, 1964, Lori was a lifelong resident of Oshkosh, a city she loved and called home throughout her life.
Lori was a woman of vibrant passions, deep family roots, and unforgettable energy. She appreciated the timeless things in life—from researching her family’s history and exploring the paranormal, to listening to heavy metal and classic rock, or hunting for vintage treasures and antiques. Lori had a deep love for music, whether enjoying a favorite song or reminiscing about classic rock concerts. Above all, she found comfort and happiness in her home near Lake Winnebago, surrounded by her family and her cherished dogs, Chancey Glenn, Bridget Marie, and Nigel Henry.
Lori lived a life on her own terms. She was a staunch supporter of her friends, which she had many, who became family. Lori and Ryan purchased their dream home in 2008 and spent many a weekend filling it with the perfect items. Lori was very spiritual and had a fascination with ghosts; so, if she has her way, there will be signs.
In her younger years, Lori could be found at Barney’s Bar or anywhere live bands played with her blond hair flying in the wind.
Lori is survived by her loving husband, Ryan Holzhausen, with whom she shared a wonderful life and partnership since meeting in 2002; her sister, Judi; uncle, Zeke Paulick; aunt, Gloria Winton; brother-in-law, Todd (Jill) Holzhausen and Ross (Linda) Holzhausen; sister-in-law, Linda Holzhausen; nieces and nephew, Beth, Aylssa and Joey; and mother-in-law, Marlene Falks Holzhausen. She is further survived by her dear group of lifelong friends; and her three cherished dogs; and many other family members.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Chancey and Janet Schroeder.
A gathering to honor and celebrate Lori’s life will be held at a later date.
