Obituary
Manuel "Pete" J. Mackles III, age 82, passed away on October 19, 2024, in Oshkosh, WI. He was born on February 4, 1942, in Louisiana to parents, Manuel and Yvonne (Gutierrez) Mackles Sr. The youngest of many brothers and sisters.
After college, he joined the United States Army. The first half of Pete's career was focused in law enforcement and the last 20 years he was a truck driver, enjoying the open road. He could often be found golfing, watching the Green Bay Packers and spending time with his family and friends. He loved spending time with his beloved dog, Bear. Pete will be remembered for being young at heart, kind and wise.
He is survived by his nephew, Albert "Jayz" Jr. and Cyndi Torres and their children, Amanda, Jessica and Jude, as well as many brothers, sisters, in-laws and friends.
Proceeding him in death were his parents; several sisters and brothers; aunts and uncles; many friends and his dog, Bear.
Per his wishes, no service will be held.
The family would like to thank his neighbor, Katrina Elliott, close friends, Larry and Mary K., and several others for their care and compassion over the years.
Pete- you are loved and will truly be missed.
