Mark G. Omness, age 52, of Oshkosh, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 18, 2005 at his home. Mark was born in Oshkosh on June 23, 1952 to Glen and Eleanor (Samida) Omness. He graduated from Oshkosh West High School. Mark and his dad Glen worked at K-Mart as maintenance workers many years, he also had other jobs through out the years. Mark had a big heart, he would help anyone that would ask him. He enjoyed playing cards, playing pool and drinking a beer with his buddies. He was quite talented at fixing things, from cars to electronics.

Mark is survived by his sisters, Ellen Amundson and Glenna (Tim) Meyers, both of Oshkosh; his daughters, Heidi Francart and Kelly Omness; stepson, Kim Peterson; granddaughter, Morgan Dora Trevor, and special friend Mary Hahn. He was preceded in death by his parents Glen and Eleanor Omness, and his brother, Jay Omness.

A Memorial Gathering will be held at Lake View Memorial Park Chapel 2786 Algoma Blvd., Oshkosh on Saturday, January 22, 2005 at 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. A memorial is being established in Mark's name.
