Marty A. Birkholz, age 60 of Oshkosh, after a courageous battle with cancer died December 31, 2011at her residence with her husband, and family at her side. Marty's passions in life were nature, and her visits to the ocean while visiting her daughter Janna in New York. Marty had a soft spot for stray animals and was known to feed those that showed up. Marty also had her cats that will miss her. Marty enjoyed living in Trinidad where she resided in her teen years.
Vern will deeply miss his soul mate of 20 years, Marty and Vern married on January 6, 1992.


Marty is loved and will be missed by her husband Vern, daughter Janna (Tony) Tegone of New York, her son Michael Henry of Oshkosh, and her father Martin Beck. She is also survived by 12 in-laws and their families. Her nieces Angie Beck of Oshkosh, and Mandy Scott of Walworth also survive her.

Marty was preceded in death by her mother June, and her sister Debra.

We would especially like to thank Vern's sisters Laurie (Rick) Schinke and Lynn (Dick) Dahl, for their love and care of Marty through these many months. Better love and care could not have been given. Marty will be missed deeply by all that knew and loved her.

Friends and family will gather at the funeral home on January 5, 2012 from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 3:00 p.m.
