Mary C. Yaggie, age 96, of Oshkosh, formerly of White Birch Village, Breitung Township, Michigan, died Saturday, November 10, 2012, at Park View Health Center in Oshkosh. Mary was born July 3, 1916, in Gwinn, Michigan, the daughter of the late Zepherrino and Rosa (Nonie) Bertot. She was a resident of the Iron Mountain-Kingsford area for most of her life.
Mary married Raymond Yaggie in 1941. Mary was a member of American Martyrs Catholic Church in Kingsford, and was very active in the Ladies Guild, and the Precisionaires Drill Team.
Mary loved to attend her grandchildren's sporting events and was their number one fan. She was a very avid game show junkie and if she wasn't watching game shows, you could find her doing puzzle books.
Mary leaves behind her children; a son: Raymond (Evelyn) Yaggie Jr. of Quinnesec, MI, two daughters: Karen (Roger) Hannah of McCalla, AL, and Kay (Michael) Bloch of Oshkosh, her sister, Pauline Krezman, of Sacramento, CA, and her son in law Les Gering of Kingsford, MI.
Mary is further survived by 12 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and 7 great great grandchildren.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband Raymond, her parents Zepherrino and Rosa, her daughter, Rosemary Gering, two sisters; Lena Piche, and Jennie Neveau, and two brothers; Johnny and Frankie Bertot.
A memorial Mass will be offered on Monday November 26, 2012, at American Martyrs Catholic Church, 908 W. Sagola Ave., Kingsford MI.at 11:00 A.M. with Reverend Joseph O. Gouin officiating. Inurnment at Quinnesec Cemetery will follow lunch at 1:30 P.M.
