Obituary
Mavis "Bunny" M. Durant, age 83, passed away with her husband by her side on December 3, 2023, in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. She was born on November 10, 1940, to parents, Hazen and Grace (Reinhart) Adams, in Wisconsin.
After high school, she went to work as a bookkeeper for a local flower shop. She also shared her creativity and crafting by making occasional arrangements.
Mavis married the love of her life, Dennis Durant on May 25, 1959, in Neenah, Wisconsin. They were able to spend 64 wonderful years together. They often could be found singing karaoke, dancing the East Coast Swing, or County Western Line Dancing together.
She is survived by her husband, Dennis Durant; three children, Dee (Nickie) Durant, Kay (Glen) Griese, and Darren Durant; grandchildren, Bridgett Feathers, Dustin Durant, Sara (significant other Troy N.) Vadnais, Samantha Vadnais, Stephanie (Cory) DeGroff, Bobby Durant and Joey Durant; twelve great-grandchildren, and many other family and friends.
Preceding her in death are her parents; grandson, Benjamin Griese; great-granddaughter, Avolon; and brother, Delroy Adams.
A private Celebration of Life has been held. In lieu of flowers, the family has established a memorial in her honor.
The family would like to extend a very special thank you to the staff on the ICU floor of Mercy Medical Center, Ascension, Oshkosh for their kindness during such a difficult time.
