Michael Lee Dorn, age 48, passed away unexpectedly on April 30, 2024, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He was born to parents, Rick and Karen (Gloede) Dorn on April 28, 1976, in Neenah, Wisconsin.
Mike graduated from Neenah High school in 1994. He then immediately went into the work force. On May 14, 2011, he married the love of his life Jennifer Sternat at the EAA Chapel. They were happily married for thirteen years. He faithfully worked many jobs at American Can/ Bemis/ Amcor- Neenah for 29 years up until the very end even with battling Cancer for 4 years. His last being a tow motor operator like his father.
He enjoyed taking walks with his wife, watching movies- especially Transformers, collecting Transformer figurines, He-Man ornaments, comics and figurines, listening to Death Metal and going to concerts, going out to eat for Sushi and other great food and crafts beers, watching wrestling, reading, exploring science, going on brewery tours, playing golf and mini-golf and traveling. Mike and Jen took many memorable trips traveling to Door County, Wisconsin Dells, Las Vegas and Mexico together, family meant everything to him. In his younger years, he was able to travel to almost all the United States with his parents. He also loved finding the best gifts for his second cousins to play with and found extreme joy watching their faces. He loved holidays and spending time with family. He was looking forward to teaching his cousin Ambir Dorn's little one, Crew Michael to love Death Metal and finding him the perfect gift. A special gift to him from Ambir was to put Michael in her son's name and it was given to him as a surprise at Christmas.
Mike will be remembered for being quick-witted, being generous with charities and other people, and always rescuing animals. After rescuing animals, Mike's favorite saying was "We don't haz this." Most of all though, he was a big teddy bear. He will be missed dearly.
He is survived by his wife, Jennifer Dorn; mother, Karen Dorn; brother, Chris Dorn; father-in-law, James C. Sternat; brother-in-law, James (Lyn) Sternat; niece, Anna Sternat and beloved aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He is further survived by his best friend- movie buff and favorite restauranter, Alexander (Tanya) Ghali; their son, Zander Ghali; and many family and fur babies- Roscoe, Hank, Chunk and Izzy, and many fur babies he will meet in heaven that he loved.
Preceding in death was his father, Rick Dorn; paternal grandparents, Richard (Gladyce) Dorn; maternal grandparents, Elwyn (Carol) Gloede and mother-in-law, Barbara Sternat.
A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
