Michael L. "ML" Funk, age 60, of Neenah, died Saturday, December 5, 2015. Born on May 14, 1955, in Quincy, Illinois, the son of Ronald and Phyllis (Miller) Bier, ML married Theresa Mason. He was an U.S. Air Force Veteran of the Vietnam War. Employed at Eagle Nation Cycles in Neenah as a mechanic, ML had a passion for motorcycles. A family man, he felt grateful and blessed upon finding his daughter and was an amazing grandfather. He volunteered at a number of community events. Survivors include his wife, Theresa Mason-Funk of Neenah; a daughter, Athea (Matthew) Callahan of Neenah; two granddaughters, Zoe and Karin, both of Neenah; his mother, Phyllis Funk of Carterville, Illinois; a brother, Greg (Dawn) Funk of Hazel Green, Wisconsin; two nieces; an uncle, Dean Miller of Carterville, Illinois; best friends, Steve "Mad" Erato and Bob "Bandit" Barbeoux; and many other friends. A memorial gathering will be held on Sunday, December 13, 2015, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Seefeld Funeral Chapels, 1025 Oregon Street, in Oshkosh, where full Military Honors will be given.
