Michael " Mike" P. Peters, age 59, Oshkosh, died unexpectedly on Thursday, September 23, 2010. Mike was born in Oshkosh, WI, the son of Herbert and Arlene (Owen) Peters. Mike was raised and educated in Oshkosh. He graduated in 1970 and will be remembered for being very athletic during his high school years. Mike married Marjorie "Margie" Herbst on May 12, 1973 in Winneconne. Together he and Margie had two children, Michelle and Jeff. Mike was employed by Arrowhead Conveyor in Oshkosh for 33 years. He proudly served his country in the US Army for three years.

Mike will be most remembered for going to football games with his son, coaching his grandsons and granddaughter, Tyler & Justine in track, and AJ in football and basketball. Mike was also an avid runner, loved to travel, and was Dan Marino's #1 Fan.

Mike is survived by his wife, Margie; a daughter, Michelle (Eric) Mueske of Appleton; son, Jeff (Shellie) Peters of Oshkosh; and grandchildren, Justine and AJ Peters, Tyler Grobe, Payton, Lauren and Gabrielle Mueske and Dawson Mundy. He is further survived by four brothers, Clint (Shirley) Peters of Oshkosh, Bruce (Margie) Peters of Oshkosh, Manuel (Mary) Peters of Wautoma, and Jerry (Karla) Peters of Appleton; sister, Phyllis (Richard) Gray of Oshkosh; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Mike was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, David and Herbert, and a sister, Amber.

Visitation will take place on Wednesday, September 29, 2010 at Lake View Memorial Park Chapel, 2786 Algoma Blvd., Oshkosh, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Memorial Service at 11:00 a.m., with Pastor Tim Greenwald officiating. Then laid to rest at Lake View Memorial Park.

Mike will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him – especially his wife, children and grandchildren.
