Obituary

Michael W. Wagner, 53, Oshkosh, passed away at the Aurora Bay Care Hospital in Green Bay, WI, on Saturday January 23, 2016 peacefully surrounded by his loving family after enduring complications of a massive stroke.

Michael was born in Madison, WI on January 12, 1963 to Francis "Bill" and June Wagner. Michael is survived by his wife Cynthia (Brun) Wagner, along with his two daughters, Michaela and Laura Wagner and his siblings, Edward Sr. (Susan) Wagner, Charles (Pamela) Wagner, Linda Kelly, Judy (Robert) Barlow, Patricia (John) Elliot along with his in-laws Herbert and Harriet Brun, Ann (Randall) Alcorn, Sara (Mark) Bogdan and nieces and nephews. His parents Francis and June Wagner, and his nephew Benjamin Alcorn preceded him in death.

Michael was happiest assembling, tearing apart and reassembling motors of all kinds. He was a 2-cycle tech working mainly on Mercury outboards. Michael participated in many Super Stock Tunnel racing events and won the 1992 National Champ SST 70.

A service celebrating Michael's life is being held on Friday, January 29, 2016 at Algoma Boulevard United Methodist Church in Oshkosh WI. Visitation is from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a service to follow. Interment of the cremains will take place later in the spring. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made in Michael's honor to be donated to a charity chosen by the family at a later date.
