Michael "Mike" Wheeler, age 68, died in his home on February 27, 2019, from complications related to Lewy Body Dementia. Mike was a truck driver earlier in his career. When a health condition prevented him from continuing his profession, he started working at Lakeside Packaging where he remained until retirement. Mike enjoyed listening to 50's and 60's music, singing and dancing, baking, shopping, and going out to lunch. He also enjoyed giving to others and taking care of his baby, "Charlie Brown."
Mike is survived by his loving friends and care givers at VistaCare and by his guardian Tammy. He was preceded in death by his long-time girlfriend, Pam. Mike loved animals and spoiling children. In lieu of flowers please consider placing a donation in Mike's memory to either the Oshkosh Humane Society or Peace Lutheran Pre-School.
Visitation for Mike will be held at Fox Cities Funeral & Cremation Service Chapel, 3026 Jackson Street, on Thursday, March 7, 2019, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. A short memorial service will be held following the visitation at 4:00 p.m. Special thanks to all the staff at VistaCare and Aurora Hospice who helped care for Mike and helped him feel loved and supported through this difficult time.
